ISYS6621: Social Media and Digital Business

I read an article in Forbes over the summer by an entrepreneur named Jason Nazar who felt the need to bestow some wisdom on us Millennials. One of his tips: social media is not a career. He goes on to say it’s just a marketing function, and pegging your whole career on managing social media for a business is a terrible decision. Part of my goal with taking this class was to determine, in a professional sense, is Mr. Nazar right? Will these “job titles not exist in five years?”

Enter a new, hip, cool trend in business: Inbound Marketing.
